Full Description

{1} Trench 2, Context 2/10. Fig.6. The southern half of what may be a larger pit, 3m wide and surviving into the natural to a depth of 0.42m. It contained three separate fills, one with a high charred wood content. 12 sherds of early middle Saxon pottery were also present.
Contexts 2/4, 2/6-9, 2/11 (Fig.6) are all probable postholes, some were sampled, but no pottery was recovered.
