Full Description
{1} Area 3 was surveyed to locate any pipes and culverts leading to and from Five Ponds. The magnetometer survey indicates a plethora of high magnitude anomalies in the area surrounding the fishponds, most of which correlate with the upstanding earthworks. These reflect the complex and dense undulating pattern of earthworks visible across this part of the site. The most notable of these locates a possible culvert or waterway linking Five Ponds to the existing pond to the south. The southern part of Area 3 (which was not surveyed for earth resistance) is dominated by this north-south orientated culvert/watercourse.
