Full Description
{1} Positive anomalies of possible archaeological origin, forming possibly field systems.
{2} In the north part of Trench 6 were two large ditches, one aligned roughly north-south, and the other east-west. If continuous these ditches would have joined just to the west of the trench. Both ditches had V-shaped profiles with irregular edges, stepped to the inner and steeply sloped to the outer edge. North-south running ditch [604] was 1.3m wide x 0.85m deep and contained several fills. The upper two fills were cut by a modern field drain. East-west aligned ditch [600] was 1.1m wide x 0.5m deep.
Another two perpendicular ditches in trench 6 may be a further enclosure boundary.
