Full Description

{1} Significant features included a curvilinear ditch, a possible quarry pit, and several waste pits. The pottery recovered from these features suggests that the main period of activity was from the 11th – 13th centuries, with the earlier material having been disturbed by the digging of the 12th and 13th-century features. The absence of later pottery types common in the area strongly suggests that activity had ceased before the late 14th century.
