Full Description
{1} Level 2 building recording of barn prior to conversion to a dwelling. On a map of 1736 {2} a windmill is shown in this location. The barn is present by 1885, but was probably constructed between 1850-1875 based on the few dateable elements, principally the roof trusses. Constructed of coursed limestone rubble bonded with limestone mortar No internal divisions or hayloft, although there is a blocked hayloft window in the south gable, the roof is covered with blue slate and the rainwater goods are plastic. The floor is bitumen.
