Summary

Archaeological observation undertaken during groundworks for a new house identified the foundation of a 17th-century boundary wall associated with the former Foxes Farm. The boundary is depicted on a late 17th-century map and the First Edition Ordnance Survey map, but not on subsequent editions.

Full Description

{1} Archaeological observation was undertaken during groundworks for the construction of a new house. The foundations of boundary wall aligned north-south were identified. Pottery from a deposit sealed by the wall dated to the mid-17th century suggesting a date for its construction contemporary with Foxes Farm.
