Summary
Archaeological monitoring of the excavation of the foundations for a new house found a large pit which contained 14th-century pottery. However, no other features were identified implying that this plot was in agricultural use during the medieval period.

Full Description
[1} Archaeological monitoring was undertaken in 2020 during the excavation of foundations and services associated with a new house. A single pit, over 1.50m in diameter and 0.24m deep, was identified. The fill contained three sherds of pottery dating it to the mid 14th century. No other features were identified implying that this plot had been in agricultural use during the medieval period.
