Summary

Archaeological observation undertaken during the conversion of a former barn identified a possible medieval gully and ditch. Other features included a possible 16th-century wall and modern postholes.

Full Description

{1} Archaeological observation was undertaken during the conversion of a derelict barn to residential use. A gully was of probable 13th century date and a more substantial ditch was tentatively dated to the 12th century. Medieval pottery was also found in a wall trench, although the wall iteself is believed to be related to the 16th-century manor complex. Other modern features include postholes and a cobbled surface.
