Full Description
{1} Archaeological strip, map and sample excavation was undertaken prior to the construction of facilities associated with a glamping site. Two small, discrete pits, situated some 25m apart from each other, were identified. Seven sherds from at least two Grooved ware vessels dating to the late Neolithic were found in the pits. Given the shallow nature of the pits, it is evident that there has been significant truncation of earlier deposits by medieval/post-medieval agricultural activity and many more features may have originally existed.
