Full Description
{1} - Boughton Wood lodge, unlisted as a distinct edifice, is significantly altered from its original state with modern extensions and later anciliary buildings within its immediate settings. It replaced an earlier version shown on estate maps in the 1710s, and is thought that Boughton Wood lodge was constructed in the late 1720s or early 1730s as a relatively unadorned edifice to house the Boughton Gamekeeper. The buidling is made from limestone and brick structure. Currently, the Lodge is no longer in its function as a Gamekeeper's residence due to there being no shoot at Boughton.
