Full Description

{1} Trial trench excavation, comprising five trenches, was undertaken in January 2026 and found a small number of ditches and a pit. Only three sherds of Iron Age/Roman pottery were found siggesting that the features lay some distance from settlement. It is possible they represented boundary ditches or a trackway. Some of the features corresponded to cropmarks recorded during the Northants NMP.
