Full Description
{2} A 'tumulus' is said to have existed in Daventry until quite recently on a site that was occupied by the Council Schools'. As this location is very close to the old town centre the survival of a barrow here is unlikely;
{3} Archaeological investigation during development found no evidence of prehistoric or Roman activity except of few residual flint flakes.
