Monument record 1621/0/6 - Possible Romano-British Stone Building(s)

{1} A stone area revealed possibly indicates a structure.

{2} Domestic occupation was found in southern area including possible structures; as a result of evaluation development avoided the southern area of the site.

{3} Roman occupation with inhumation, and possible post-medieval brickworks, evaluation by G.Cadman.

{4} Evidence of a possible stone structure and other features containing Roman pottery lay within the southernmost 25-30m of T1. These features may form part of the town or mark occupational associated with the putative Roman road underlying the line of the modern A605. Features lay at a depth of up to 0.65m below the ground surface.
