Description

{1} In June 1988 in connection with road construction works (at Thrapston) a planning application was submitted for tipping on agricultural land adjacent to the A605. Evaluation of the archaeological impact of the proposed works was carried out prior to determination of the planning application. A total of six c.1.6m wide trenches (T1 to T6) were opened, the overall length of the trenches being c.300m.
