Full Description

{1} Area of SP824627, Sharman's Barn. Fieldwalking in 1960 recovered Roman pottery including Samian, colour coated and grey wares; also clay roofing tiles. Worked flints were found.

{2} Roman settlement at SP824628. In the field to the south more pottery and some flint scrapers have been discovered.

{3} Fieldwalking recovered Bronze Age flint scrapers (as well as Romano-British pottery). Location confirmed by Hollowell who also states that the finds were deposited with Northampton Museum. Fieldname: Sharman's Barn.

{4} (SP 824627) BA flint scrapers and RB sherds. R Hollowell November 1961.

{5} R Hollowell confirms the site of finds and says that the flints and pottery went to Northampton Museum.
No finds made during investigation.
