Full Description

{1} Hollow-way remain at Spratton SP 715704 718697. Until modern development Spratton consisted of three roughly parallel lanes orientated north-west to south-east, and cut obliquely by the Brixworth to Hollowell road. The existence of a deep hollow way at the north end of the village continues the present High Street northwards and indicates that the village once lay on a north-south road which was later replaced by the modern one to the west.

{2} Earthwork recorded by aerial photography. Possible medieval hollow way.
