Full Description

{2} Richard Kerby Esq.

{6} This was a catalogue to accompany an exhibition at Lancaster University. Page 69 has two lines on Flore Manor.

{8} Several plans and sketch perspectives.

{10}Explains that some of the garden no longer exists. The old inclosures around Flore House no doubt contained enough trees to give a park-like appearance, but the present extant of Flore Park resulted from the work of Richard Pack, who brought up newly created fields as far as Flore Hill in 1808. Some ridge and furrow remains as evidence that there were areas that were once part of the West Field. Though some of the trees date from the time of the Packs it is probable that most were planted by Edmund Loder after 1974.

{14}According to J Smith's notes the sale catalogue (from 1924) that Charles Craig (the owner of the house in 1900) the Park and Lodge were said to have measured 46.658 acres.,
