Full Description
{1} Cropmarks of possible pits may represent the graves of a cemetery.
{2} Some unexplained circles 20m or so across were picked up by dowsing.
{3} Trenches 43 was positioned to investigate a cropmarks thought to represent pits. No archaeological features were encountered. The natural geology across this area comprised mixed iron rich sand and sandy limestone that may have accounted for the dappled appearance of the cropmarks.
