Full Description

{2} Hollow way - 'Watery Lane' as shown on 1756 Plan. Some modern disturbances (drains) present. In field to south of farm buildings, present as prominent linear cut. Nature of current cut suggests some recent enlargement and disfiguration - possibly as result of use by ironstone industry post 1925.

{4} Towards the northern field boundary, the hollow-way marking a route to Chester-on-the-Water survives in earthwork. Within this, a ferrous pipeline leading to the modern reservoir produced a chain of intense positive and negative anomalies which have obscured any earlier features in the area (Fig 7).
