Full Description
{2} Enclosed in 1758 with Upper Boddington, with the new allotments described in the Award of 1759.
{3} Settlement remains (centred SP 482523) formerly part of Lower Boddington, lie in and around the existing village, on Lower Lias Clay between 120 m. and 140 m. above OD. The present village lies along two streeets, Banbury Road and Hill Road, which meet at a crossroads in the NW corner; another street, Owl End Lane, runs parallel to Hill Road, The remains of an L-shaped, hollow-way some 3 m. deep show that Owl End Land, now a cul-de-sac, once extended NE to meet Hill Road. Other earthworks elsewhere appear to be sites of former houses and gardens.
