Full Description

{1} Large ruins of the outer wall survived in the early 18th century. The remains were built into three or four houses (The Chapel Houses). Possibly the chapel sold by Sir William Brudnell in 1578.

{5}Ironworking evidence and early cemetery associated with standing medieval chapel building.

{8} Documentary evidence of a medieval chapel of All Saints at Harringworth. A chantry chapel was founded in 1305 for two priests by William de la Zouche. It measured 58ft long.

{9} Area SP 917 974: A former chapel existed to the south of the church at Harringworth. Remains of it were built into 3 or 4 houses known as "the chapel houses". Possibly the chapel or hermitage sold by Sir William Brudenell in 1578.

{10} "Chapel Houses" unknown in the present village of Harringworth and no extant fabric could be identified. CRO 'Place name survey (1932)' examined without success.
