Full Description
{1} The series of mainly rectilinear enclosures, each bounded by ditches and containing occasional roundhouses, occupies the same natural ironstone ridge as the fortified town and appears to show that the defences were superimposed upon an earlier, existing settlement. The overlapping of several components denotes different phases of activity.
Geophysics found a possible rectangular enclosure 26m wide; its 62m length truncated by later defences.
