Full Description

{1} Cartsheds. Early C19. Regular coursed limestone with slate roof. 3-bay range of cartsheds with haylofts over. Shallow brick arches with casement windows above. 2-window range of mid C19 stables to left and cartshed to right. Hipped and gabled roof. Single-storey C19 wing projects to far left. Included for group value.

{4} A split-level mid-19th century building incorporating a chicken house at first floor level and a tractor store below. It is constructed of coursed limestone with brick quoins around the entrance door and ferruginous quoins on the north-west corner. The hipped roof is of Welsh slates laid "poor-man's" fashion ie there is a gap between adjacent slates. 19th century crown post roof trusses, recessed chicken nesting holes constructed on internal face of the front wall, below eaves ventilation constructed of agricultural drainage pipes. The first floor may have been originally constructed for chickens.
