Full Description

{1} Wellingborough Motor Omnibus Company was formed in May 1913, later became United Counties Road Transport Company 8 years later. Head office was originally in Finedon Road Irthlingborough (until it moved to Bedford Road, Northampton). The Irthlingborough premises were taken over by Eastern Coachworks then British Road Services and is currently Homeseeker Park Homes (Caravan Builders). The building consists of a huge shed-like construction, which does not appear to have any embellishment. Film 2, photo 11.

{2} Wellingborough Motor Omnibus Co. Bus Garage. Opened in 1914, extended 1919-20, and again 1929-1930. Let to Eastern Coach Works in May 1940 and sold to that company in 1941. Subsequently sold to British Road Services who used it as a repair depot until c.1970. Now used by a company building mobile homes. No information on appearance.
