Summary
Cropmarks of boundary ditches identified on aerial photographs. Further boundary ditches have been identified during trial trench excavation. The absence of artefacts and environmental evidence suggests that this part of the floodplain was never occupied.

Full Description
{1} Cropmarks of possible enclosures and ditches (although may be natural), seen on aerial photo NCCAP:TL0488/1+24+25
{2} Ditch cropmark on AP in 1979.
{3, 4} Archaeological trial trench excavation ahead of proposed redevelopment identified a scatter of ditches of unknown date together with evidence of post-medieval quarrying.
