Full Description
{1} Geddington Chase was probably not emparked. Contains earthworks of medieval and post medieval banks. Irregular ridings are marked by substantial ramparts in places, but there is no enclosing embankment.
{2} Unenclosed woodland. The old ridings are wide and curving, unlike the later ones.
{5} No emparkment.
{6} In 1228 the medieval deer park owner was the Crown. Area marked by Speed probably part of Brigstock Park by Eyre's time.
{8} A cannon foundry is said to have been working in Geddington Woods in the 15th century but no evidence for this has been found, documentary or otherwise.
