Monument record 3393 - Possible Bronze Age round barrows and Iron Age Settlement, north-east of Brafield

Summary
Cropmarks of ring ditches, rectilinear enclosures and possible boundary ditches have been identified on aerial photographs. There have been finds of worked flint and Iron Age pottery.

Full Description
{1} SP 8280 5889, 8285 5932 & 8290 5953: Vague mark of ditches on APs R Hollowell 1969. (Nothing visible on APs OS 1965)
{2} Mr Hollowell confirmed the sitings and said he intends to re-photograph them soon. There are no surface indications of the ditches.
{3} SP 828 594: Iron Age settlement on Boulder Clay at 104 metres above OD. Air photographs in NMR show a series of indistinct cropmarks of no coherent form. Iron Age pottery has been found here.
