Full Description

{1} Enclosure (SP 875718) NE of the village, on sand at 95m above OD. Air photographs (in NMR) show, very indistinctly, a large rectangular enclosure and a number of associated ditches. Some worked flints and a little Medieval pottery have been found on this site.

{2} Fieldwalking recovered three prehistoric flint blades.

{3} Crop marks suggestive of a series of straight sided enclosures on top of ridge.

{4} Aerial photography in 1982 recorded the cropmark of two parallel ditches.

{5} A large rectangular enclosure and a number of associated ditches. Some worked flints and a little medieval pottery have been found on the site.

{9} (Area SP 87547182). Cropmarks of several ditched rectangular enclosures visible on AP taken by R Hollowell, 1969.

{10} Mr J.R Fox has in his possession worked flints (BA) and Md pottery found on this site in Oct 1969.
The site is under plough. There are no surface indications of the enclosures and no finds were made.
The air photographs are not available for examination.
