{1} Roman settlement largly destroyed by quarrying: settlement is identified by surface scatter of pottery and isolated cropmarks may denote associated ditches.

{2} Roman settlement centrally placed within the area formed by a large meander of the River Nene to the north of Ringstead. The site has been extensively destroyed by ironstone quarries which were opened in the late C19th and again from 1913-17/18. The settlement has been largely identified from a concentration of surface pottery though isolated traces of cropmarks may denote ancient ditches.
