Summary

A rectilinear ditched enclosure of probable Iron Age or Roman date is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs. Located in a field SSW of New England Farm, the up to 4 metres wide ditch encloses an area about 26 x 19 metres. A gap in the NE facing side may be an entrance. From the NW corner, a linear ditch extends NE for about 21 metres, then turning SE for 51 metres. Identified during Northamptonshire's and Bedfordshire's NMP projects.

{3} Small roughly square enclosure on Boulder Clay: dimensions unknown.

{5, 6} A rectilinear ditched enclosure of probable Iron Age or Roman date is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs and was mapped as part of the Bedford Borough NMP project. Located in a field about 170 metres SSW of New England Farm and centred at TL 01774 70299, the up to 4 metres wide ditch encloses an area about 26 x 19 metres. A gap in the NE facing side may be an entrance. From the NW corner, a linear ditch extends NE for about 21 metres, then turning SE for 51 metres.
