Abstract/Summary

Brigstock camp was formerly a camp for unemployed people prior to their emigration to Canada. The site comprises a camp complex and a series of small arable fields to the north and east, bounded by hedgerows and defended to the north, east and west by pillboxes. Today the camp mainly comprises derelict timner and brick buildings and a terraced parade ground.
