Abstract/Summary

An archaeological watching brief was carried out between November 1998 and March 1999 during groundworks for construction of a golf course on land adjacent to Pytchley Golf Lodge, Pytchley. The machined ground works proved to be very shallow and did not affect archaeological remains. In the main the plough soil was not penetrated though in a few very small areas the subsoil was exposed.
