Abstract/Summary

Between 1994 and 1997 the OAU undertook a watching brief at Corney Land, Stanwick Pit. One palaeochannel and several irregular features filled with a dark brown peaty material were observed. This material was sampled and is thought likely to be of earlier Pleistocene date (c.20-40000BC). Otherwise no significant archaeological deposits were noted.
