Abstract/Summary

Fragments of worked stone found by couple in Earls Barton may relate to a coffin recorded in a newspaper article in the fifties. At that time the coffin was dated to the Roman period. Due to the lack of definitive evidence it cannot be said whether the fragments do relate to that coffin or even what date they are.
