Abstract/Summary

A programme of archaeological works was undertaken by Northamptonshire Archaeology prior to and during the laying of the Rushden to Higham Ferrers water pipeline. This comprised fieldwalking and geophysical survey followed by trial trench evaluation and a watching brief. A number of ditches and associated features were identified. These lay to the east of, and were related to , an area of middle Iron Age to early Roman settlement that had previously been excavated prior to the building og the bypass.
