Abstract/Summary

Paul Mantle Partnership are proposing the development of a site at 147 Watling Street in Towcester, Northamptonshire. The site comprises a residential building and restaurant on the west side of Watling Street at its junction with Richmond Road. It covers an area of approximately 2,500 square feet, centred on NGR SP 693 487. A desk-based archaeological assessment has been carried out by John Samuels Archaeological Consultants. The site lies within the south-western extent of Towcester conservation area.
