Abstract/Summary

In February 2010, an archaeological trial trench evaluation was undertaken by Northamptonshire Archaeology on behalf of Entec UK, for a wind farm, on land at Winwick Warren Farm, Winwick, Northamptonshire. The evaluation found the remains of a probable Roman enclosure ditch together with gullies and further ditches. Analysis of the pottery suggests a 1st -3rd century AD date. Remnants of medieval furrows were also present.
