Abstract/Summary

The footprint of a new extension was hand excavated adjacent to St. Bartholomew's church, Greens Norton. The church is of Saxon origin and the excavation was to record graveyard deposits and any structural remains exposed by the development. Previous work in 2006 had established that articulated but undated burials lay between 1.2 and 1.7m below the modern ground surface.
