Abstract/Summary

In July 2010 Archaeological Solutions conducted an archaeological evaluation on land at Redruth Nursing Home, Weedon Road, Upton, Northamptonshire. The evaluation was undertaken in compliance with an archaeological condition attached to planning permission to redevelop this site. Modern landscaping features were revealed in trenches 1 and 2, comprising made ground, the remanants of paths a ?flower bed and ?terracing. Quarry pits were recorded in Trenches 3 and 4. Two contained 18th century pottery. One quarry pit contained two sherds of medieval pottery. The sherds are of insufficient quantity to date the features and may be residual. An undated gully was recorded in Trench 4.
