Abstract/Summary

In April 2016 MOLA (Museum of London Archaeology) carried out archaeological mitigation works on land at Ace Lane, Bugbrooke, Northamptonshire. The excavation identified four main periods of activity. A pit alignment was uncovered which was likely to be of late Bronze Age/early Iron Age date. In the high medieval and late medieval periods activity comprised pits and a few ditches. Post-medieval occupation consisted of two cellars, two stone built wells and a stone built drain. Several undated features were also identified and included three pits, two postholes and two ditches.
