Abstract/Summary

MOLA was commissioned to conduct an archaeological geophysical survey of circa 180ha of land to the north-east of daventry, Northamptonshire. The survey mapped widespread Iron Age and Roman remains, including pit alignments, linear ditches, enclosures and a trackway, which together formed part of the northern hinterland of the nearby hillfort at Borough Hill. Other remains including medieval ridge and furrow, a post-medieval farmstead and post-medieval brick kilns were also detected.
