Abstract/Summary

A programme of geophysical survey (magnetometer) survey and fieldwalking was undertaken at two locations east of Wellingborough in advance of the possible development of the sites. At the most northern site a cluster of Roman pot sherds and scanning anomalies locate a probable settlement site. Detailed magnetometer survey at two other locations has also identified features of archaeological significance. At the southern site only artefacts of a post-medieval date were recovered and only anomalies due to relatively recent agrcultural activity identified.
