Abstract/Summary
Magnitude Surveys was commissioned to assess the subsurface archaeological potential of a c. 2.8ha area of land for Hemington Natural Burial Ground, Hemington, Northamptonshire. A fluxgate gradiometer survey was successfully completed across the entirety survey area. Several trackways and curvilinear and rectilinear anomalies forming enclosures, including some multi-phase settlement activity, have been identified. Agricultural anomalies including a former field boundary, drainage features and modern ploughing regimes have also been identified. The impact of modern activity on the survey area is limited to magnetic disturbance along field boundaries
