Abstract/Summary
MOLA (Museum of London Archaeology) was commissioned by the Evenley Village History Society to undertake a geophysical survey across an area of Roman remains located approximately 1km north of Evenley, Northamptonshire. The survey covered 7.6ha of land, and detected an expanse of enclosures and trackways forming part of a sizeable rural settlement. Some elements overlapped each other awkwardly, suggesting the site was a long-lived one which underwent several phases of development. Other features detected by the survey included suspected areas of quarrying and a pair of modern metal pipes.
