Summary

Possible Iron Age pottery and much Roman material has been found over a wide area. An important building likely stood here, possibly a temple. A large hoard was recovered in 1826 and another large hoard found in 1854 may have come from the same area

Full Description

{1} Romano-British pottery was recovered from the field, especially at the grid reference quoted. A few sherds were also found in the field to the north east, although none from the field to the north which was under pasture. Some sherds were also found at the north end of the field to the south. Finds made in 1968 and reported in 1978, and located in Northampton Museum.
