Abstract/Summary

At the request of English Heritage additional geophysical survey and subsequent trial excavation were carried out by Northamptonshire Archaeology in March and August 1994 respectively, in order to complete the evaluation of the area of the Roman extra-mural settlement within part of the scheduled ancient monument of Irchester Roman station immediately to the west of the former walled town
