Abstract/Summary

The fieldwalking carried out on the Frontier Centre development site has served to extend the area around Crow Hill studied in the Raunds Area Survey. The results have shown that the site witnessed prehistoric and Roman activity, but not of such intensity as that at Crow Hill. The results may simply be indicating a fall-off in activity as one moves further away from the Crow Hill focus, or may represent a manuring scatter. Medieval activity is also attested by the remains of ridge and furrow and a spread of pottery sherds.
