Description
The whole of the proposed development area, with the exception of the areas of landfill and woodland, was investigated by scanning with the aim of locating any anomalies of possible archaeological interest. Based on the results of the scanning detailed gradiometry was undertaken to determine the nature and extent of any buried archaeological deposits. This geophysical survey forms part of a wider archaeological evaluation being undertaken by John Samuels Archaeological Consultants prior to development of the site. NB. Accuracy of area digitisation needs to be checked as plotted by eye!
