Description

{1} Magnetometry survey identified linear magnetic anomalies interpreted as segments of relatively recent agricultural boundary/drainage ditches; two different alignments of parallel positive linear magnetic trends suggestive of denuded remnants of ridge and furrow earthworks; eight discrete areas of magnetic enhancement at the centre and west of the survey area. This type of magnetic anomaly can originate from cut and infilled archaeological pits although recent intrusive activity may cause similar magnetic anomalies.
