{1} Excavations and watching briefs took place at Bozeat Quarry over a 15 year period before or during gravel extraction. In the first few years machining was carried out by box scraper. From 2006, 360 excavators were used with the spoil removed by large moxy dumpers. {3} Two areas of Romano-British occupation excavated in advance of quarrying. 13 pottery kilns, 4 inhumations and a cremation burial were found in the northernmost area. A single inhumation was found in the southern area. [2001 phase]
